Pursuing the King by Joanne Green

Today’s guest blogger is Joanne Green. Intrigued with the world of fashion, Joanne became a runway model for the exclusive Lord and Taylor brand in New York and Boston. While enjoying her modeling success, her college studies reflected that interest and she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fashion Merchandising.  While managing her home life as a wife, mother, and budding designer living in Dallas, Texas, she embarked upon her entrepreneurial skills and launched “Ezra,” a unique custom clothing line that was designed for women and children, which she sold to Boutiques and marketed at Trade and Trunk Shows. Joanne quickly discovered that her work was thrusting her into the brokenness and spiritually bankrupt lives of professionals from corporate backgrounds and lifestyles. Her work evolved from designing for the outward individual to ministering to the inward, and thus, sharing the word of God became an ensuing passion.  

In 1981, she acknowledged and prepared for the prophetic call on her life by attending                      Word of Faith Bible School. She was licensed to preach and teach in 1984 by her Pastor, Ron Shaw from Light Church in Dallas Texas, and later in 1994, was ordained by Bishop D. W. Washington from Good News Church in Houston, Texas, where she also served as an Associate Pastor for more than twenty years. Her professional experience includes Sales and Marketing Management, as well as Human Resource Management. She is an Executive Board Member of L.I.F.E. Inc, and also serves as Executive Board Member President of True Vineyard Ministries, San Marcos, Texas, which is a Non-Profit Organization, that meet fundamental needs and provide sustainable income projects to widows affected with HIV/AIDS living in Rwanda.

Her community involvement included being a Juvenile Volunteer, Fairfield, California Correctional System, Religious Program Coordinator, Galveston Texas Prison Medical Facility and Fort Bend Women’s Shelter for Battered Women, where she currently offers Inner Healing classes. She has traveled domestically and globally sharing the Word of God, volunteering and serving in mission outreaches. In 2005 “Ezra” became Ezra Ministries taken from the scripture found in Ezra 7:10 and in 2014 Ezra Ministries became incorporated and is a Non-Profit with a 501c (3) Tax Exempt status. Joanne has been called to be a modern day Ezra with the mandate to impact lives through her gifting to preach the uncompromised truth, teach the word simply and to provoke people to become passionate and purposeful about kingdom principles.

The King is coming.

The King of Kings and He will be looking (in search for; be in pursuit) for a bride without spot (without defilement) and without wrinkle. It is time for the bride to ready herself and prepare for the King’s return to rule and to reign on the earth in a city called the Holy City, the New Jerusalem.

It will be a wedding day unmatched to the weddings we see paraded before us on the news, in the newspapers and internet news cycles. Hollywood elite are spending millions of dollars to impress and sell their photo albums to the highest bidder, but what about the Bridegroom who is in search of His bride? Are you making yourself ready for His soon appearing? We must continue to make ourselves ready for His return.

He will know His bride by her inward beauty, her fruitfulness and unconditional love. She will discern His drawing near by listening to His still small voice that only comes from an ear tuned to His heavenly frequency. I can see and feel the excitement in the atmosphere as signs of His coming are revealed through prophecy, being fulfilled right before our eyes. It’s not too late to make preparations for the most lavish of all feasts and celebration. We must put off the old man and embrace the new man clothed in His righteousness and forgiveness.

It is imperative that we don’t forget any of the details of our special day to be joined to Him only to reflect His glory. Like a Bride counting down the days to her Holy Matrimony to the one she loves, the anticipation of her walk down the aisle to look into the gazing eyes of her betrothed, her Bridegroom will reach out His hands to receive His bride and they will pledge their love eternally before all to witness. Don’t miss the moment when He beckons you to come. He is calling your name, gently and lovingly, hoping you will respond to His wooing. And the Spirit and the bride say Come! And let him who hears say, Come! And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.
