Resurrecting What’s Dead by Lisa Burkhardt Worley, D.Min.
He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true” (Revelation 21:5, NIV).

I am teaching a Bible study that I wrote back in 2019 called Knowing the Father. It’s a sequel to the book I wrote in 2018 called The Only Father I Ever Knew. After that book was completed, I felt like the LORD said, “Now write a study to teach people about my Fatherly attributes in the Bible.” So I did.
However, after teaching it a couple of times, the 2020 pandemic killed its momentum. There was one online class that used it, but nothing more.
But God can raise what is dead to life!

He gave me an opportunity to teach it at our new church, Messiah’s Hope. There’s nothing I enjoy more than sharing about God’s Fatherly attributes and love. Due to the untimely death of my earthly father, He has been the only Father I have ever known and I want others to know Him intimately.
What seems dead in your life?

God is in the business of resurrecting what is dead. Abraham and Sarah thought their chances of having a child were next to nothing, but Romans 4:17 says, “God made Abraham the father of many nations because Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing (Romans 4:17, NLT).
The LORD can resurrect dead marriages, dead dreams, and dead relationships. Never underestimate the capabilities of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, and through His Son’s power, others were summoned out of their graves.

I’ve learned to never give up on my dreams or people because our worlds can turn in an instant. Let’s place our dead scenarios at our Heavenly Father’s feet. He loves us deeply, and if it’s His will, He will breathe life back into the situation.
