Just Sayin’ Thank You By Dr. Lisa Burkhardt Worley

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows (James 1:17)

Sometimes we just have to pause and say—thank you. As the Word states in James 1:17, every good and perfect gift originates with God, and so if that is the case, our heavenly Father is the one we should thank.

How has God blessed you this year?

When I look at this year, I want to fall to my knees and praise the one who has poured out his blessings on our Pearls of Promise ministry. While we worked hard, none of us deserved any accolades. We do the labor because we are servants of the Most High God, and we go where He leads. We desire to serve Him.

This year, He has blessed our Treasure devotional with two major awards, we were named Best Christian Talk show by the ICVM Crown Awards, and our documentary, Their Blood Cries Out, won its tenth international film festival award.

What I have found is that when we commit our lives to the LORD’s service, our amazing heavenly Father loves to spoil us, but even during the tough times, we know He is with us. In the midst of tragic circumstances, He provides a peace that is incomprehensible and a calm that could only come from Him.

Now, I am part of a church plant, and we are praying through every decision. It is amazing to watch God work on our behalf. He is constantly confirming that He is in the lead, and we are holding on as He is moving very fast.

So today, I am just sayin’ thank you to my Heavenly Father for saving me, for bringing me back to faith when I strayed, and for blessing me with abundance at this stage of my life. There is no better place to be than in the center of God’s Holy will.
