Boy on all FoursEver have one of those days when you feel like you’re running in circles screaming like a toddler? I’ve had several of those lately. Oh I so want to please God. I want to live in His perfect will. I want God to speak so clearly that I know what I should do with every moment.
Even during our Saturday morning prayer time, the mental image of me whining and running around in circles returned. Then I read from Genesis 17:3, that Abram fell on his face, and God spoke to him. In that moment I saw my toddler self, falling on the floor, spent and sobbing. And my Heavenly Father gently picked me up knowing I was finally ready to hear what He had to say. Can it really be that easy?
Yes. Sweet surrender equals sweet communion.

He bowed his head and fell on his face. And the Angel of the Lord said to him ~ Numbers 22:31-32.
I fell facedown, and I heard the voice of one speaking ~ Ezekiel 1:28.
I fell on my face. Then the Spirit entered into me and set me on my feet; He spoke…~ Ezekiel 3:23-24.
I fell upon my face and the Lord said to me ~ Ezekiel 44:4.
They fell on their faces, Jesus came and touched them and said “Get up, and do not be afraid” ~ Matthew 17:6-7.

Heavenly Father, help me to stop fighting and running around in circles. Help me to fall into Your strong arms, because when I release me, I can hold on to You.
