Oh boy, did this verse catch my attention. “Do everything without grumbling or arguing.” ~ Philippians 2:14 (NIV) Seriously? Everything? I took the time to do research by digging into the original Greek text and checking other Bible versions.

Well, I found out the verse involves even more. The meaning is to do all things (everything) without grumbling, complaining, murmuring, arguing, having disputes, questioning, muttering, having a secret debate, a secret displeasure not openly avowed, hesitation, doubting, disputing, and arguing. And to top off the statement, this is written by a man who is chained in prison and also telling us “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.” ~ Philippians 4:4 (ESV)

That means NO Grumbling And Complaining – no GAC!

I guess that means we need to …

Drive without grumbling or complaining.

Stand (or sit in your car) in a long line without grumbling or complaining.

Be a caregiver, an employee, a mom, a wife, a dad, a husband, a child, a single person, a married person, a young person, an old person, an anybody person … without grumbling or complaining.

Do anything and everything without grumbling or complaining.

Do all things without grumbling and faultfinding and complaining [against God] and questioning and doubting [among yourselves], that you may show yourselves to be blameless and guileless, innocent and uncontaminated, children of God without blemish (faultless, unrebukable) in the midst of a crooked and wicked generation [spiritually perverted and perverse], among whom you are seen as bright lights (stars or beacons shining out clearly) in the [dark] world.” ~ Philippians 2:14-15 (AMP)

Heavenly Father, guard my tongue and my thoughts to keep away the grumbling and complaining. Tender my heart to Yours to remind me always to be grateful in anything and everything I do. I love You, Father!
