Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. Ephesians 3:20, NIV
Do you find yourself thinking small when you are faced with a big decision or a life changing moment? Are you sometimes afraid to take that leap of faith, or afraid that you are not good enough for that promotion or not pretty enough for that dream guy? The good news is that you serve a BIG God and He wants to do BIG things in your life so the world can see Him in action. When you land that job that no one expected you to get, or you meet that man that you thought would never look your way, He gets all the glory.
Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what he has done.
Sing to him, sing praise to him;
tell of all his wonderful acts.
Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
Look to the Lord and his strength;
seek his face always.
PSALMS 105:1-4, NIV
Sometime we as Christians are so humble that we forget we serve a BIG God who wants us to brag on Him when He blesses us. He wants our praise and worship. He does His best work with small people who have a big faith. I am amazed at how much He has blessed me over the years since I surrendered to Him. My faith in His power to make things happen in a supernatural way has led me to want more of what He gives me. It’s not selfish to want to be blessed, it’s not greedy to say yes and amen to every blessing and to brag on His faithfulness. I want everything He has to offer and I want an abundance of it.
And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
2 CORINTHIANS 9:8, NIV
I have experienced so many miracles in my life that I have lost count. It’s hasn’t always been easy to walk this journey called life but thankfully, I think BIG thoughts when faced with a BIG giant, because there is nothing greater than the God I serve.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
ISAIAH 55: 8-9
Are there areas in your life where you think small?
Lord, help me to not lean on my own understanding, let me think big; that all things are possible though You.
