Walk on Water…Don’t Look Down by Joy Lewis

“‘Lord, if it is you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come,” he said.
Have you ever really pondered Matthew 14:27-32? It tells the story of Peter when Jesus bid him to walk on the water. Peter did so, walked on water, that is until he began to look at his surroundings and took his eyes off Jesus.
In 2011 God told me to go forth with a vision He had given me to host an Academy Awards-like event to honor authors, The Christian Literary Awards. For me, it meant really stepping out into the deep as I had no resources, including money to do this. But as I began to step out on faith and commune with God on how to go about accomplishing it; God began to provide everything I needed.
It has been a challenge and a plethora of circumstances and situations have come up to make me want to quit, but with each trial the Holy Spirit faithfully reminds me to: “Walk on Water….Don’t Look Down”.
Do you want to walk on water too? If God has given you a vision, He will provide the provision(s) to bring it to pass. You just have to step out in faith, commune with God, write the vision down, and keep your eyes on Him.
