All Nations Will Hear It by Lane Jordan Burday
And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come (Matthew 24:14).
Since I am in Christian ministry, I receive a good bit of information from many ministries, and lately many of them have been talking about the End Times. When is Jesus coming back? Is He coming back before the Tribulation, during the Tribulation, or after? There are countless books, blogs, radio/TV broadcasts, and articles about this subject, and truthfully, I am ready!
I’m ready to see Jesus because I know I will then be in heaven, which is our real place of residence. While we live on this earth, we are just ambassadors, for our citizenship is with God in heaven:
Philippians 3:20 says, “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.”
But as I read the verse above, there is a very important promise in it. The Good News will be preached throughout the whole world. We are joined together in this mission to share the Gospel, and then will come the glory of His return.
It’s a great promise because, as an Evangelist, I weep over the lost souls on the earth. I begin to panic thinking, How is everyone going to hear about Jesus? But God wants the people He created saved more than we do!
2 Peter 3:9 states: “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
So, what should we do? We should look at the harvest which is full and go out into all the world and preach the Gospel! That means you say “God bless you” to as many people as you meet, and you share with a new neighbor that your church would welcome them to visit. You seek out ways to share Jesus with as many people as you can.
For if each one of us shares with at least five people a week, wow! What a change that could happen in our communities! And the world.
Lisa Burkhardt Worley and I just interviewed Bishop Daniel from the DFA World Ministry, which works in remote areas of Asia and Africa. I asked him if he felt most nations had heard the Gospel. His reply was so meaningful.
“No. If you ask a village if they know Jesus, they will direct you to another village to find him. They think you are looking for a man with that name.” “So, we really do need to pray, send resources, and support missionaries all over the globe so that all may hear.
It breaks my heart that so many people do not know or have not heard the beautiful message of love and salvation that Jesus Christ gives. I pray you will begin to share as much as you can, and perhaps you can find an overseas ministry to support with your prayers and your finances.
