Grace Upon Grace by Dr. Lisa Burkhardt Worley

For out of His fullness [the superabundance of His grace and truth] we have all received grace upon grace [spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing, favor upon favor, and gift heaped upon gift]. For the Law was given through Moses, but grace [the unearned, undeserved favor of God] and truth came through Jesus Christ (John 1:16-17, AMP).

Last weekend was like the Super Bowl for our ministry. On Friday night in Philadelphia, Lane Jordan Burday and I received our Next Generation Gold (First Place) Book Award for our new Pearls of Promise 52-week devotional, Treasure.

Then on Saturday, I walked the red carpet at the RiseUp Con event in Pigeon Forge after winning a Gold award for our latest documentary, Their Blood Cries Out, designed to fight Holocaust denial. God’s blessings have overflowed, and we give Him all the glory and honor for these awards.

When we had our most recent Pearls of Promise meeting on June 25, 2025, I thought it was interesting that there was a double 25 on our meeting day, so I looked up the Hebrew meaning of the number 25. I found out the number “5” means “grace,” so because 25 is 5 x 5, it means grace upon grace. It strongly suggests God’s holy presence in our lives since the number 25 consists of two letters, Kaph and He. Kaph means the palm of God, and He means the divine breath. I realized we’ve received success because we place every project in the palm of God’s hand, and He breathes His life into them. Grace upon Grace.

A few more notes about the number 25. Did you know that the throne of God in Heaven has 24 thrones with sages around His one, which equals 25? The book of Acts has 25 chapters and Acts is all about receiving the Holy Spirit’s power and then doing the work of God.

I don’t think it is any accident that we landed on April 25 for our next Level-Up Women’s Conference—to be staged in Austin, Texas in 2026. I wasn’t sure I wanted to do another conference, but as I was on my morning walk a couple of weeks ago praying for direction concerning the conference, I heard “Austin,” and now, after multiple confirmations, we are moving forward. I believe the Lord is saying His presence will go with us, and this venue change to the Texas capitol, at least for one year, is of Him.

I believe you can receive grace upon grace. All you have to do is place God at the center of your work in 2025, and God’s grace and goodness will overflow.
